About the Artist
Hello, my name is David Guidas. I live in Pennsylvania, USA and am an avid photographer and guitar player. Don’t look for a long list of awards, published work or memberships to fancy artistic organizations because I don’t have any. It’s not that I would mind any but I’ve always just held and worked at a normal job and photography was always secondary. But after being layed off from work a few times I figured I would start focusing on what I enjoy and do well. So far so good. Look for awards and accolades soon
. I like to shoot fine art type photography and am constantly experimenting with various procedures and equipment.
My work can currently be found on the Pentax Photo Gallery as well as RedBubble and Flickr.
As for guitar, I play mostly blues but dabble in jazz, rock, acoustic, or anything else. I enjoy it all as far as guitar music goes. Like most guitarists, I like gear but I’m not obsessed with it. Whatever works for the job is fine with me. I am inspired by all of the personality and tonal options that various guitars bring. As with my photography, my music had also taken a back seat while I toiled away at my normal “day” job. I have jammed and collaborated with a few talented musicians in the past and I’m looking forward to doing that again.
I currently have videos on YouTube showcasing various guitars.

Good luck with your new venture. You have some really great images on your blog. Nina. (C.Lucidia)
Thank you so much. I know I have a journey ahead of me but I believe it will be worth it.
Awesome site!
Whereabouts in PA are you? I was born & raised in Clearfield! I live in Toronto now, though.

I think your photographs are beautiful and inspirational. I am new to blogging and I’m just researching blogs to find what a great blog should look like and also just to get a little inspiration. So, thank you for both!
Thank you. I’m happy to be an inspiration to you. There is plenty of good work out there to see and learn from. I know I certainly do. Enjoy!
Hi David, I don’t see an email address for you – please check out my latest blog post regarding the Versatile Blogger award!
Thank you Karen. I’m honored to be chosen by you. And thanks for reminding me, I need to put some contact info on this page.
David,
You’d be surprised if you take 1 square inch of anything on Earth and focus on it you will definitely find beauty. That the secret of Nature. It’s a fractal of beauty, the right place to live and care. Your photos prove my theory!
Good work!
Thank you. And I wholeheartedly agree with your analysis.
Yeah! Woohoo for Pa photo bloggers!!!!
I like ur photos as they tell a lot about “human” from the side of nostalgic yet sad moments. Good job mate!
Your blog never fails to intrigue me. Your pictures are making me view things in a whole new perspective. Thank you for your pictures^.^ Hope you go far..:)
Thank you so much. I really enjoy it when my photos connect with people. It means a lot to me, considering how I try to have a different vision then the norm. I apologize that my output has been a little slow lately. I’ve been dealing with orientation on a new job and it’s been consuming my days and restricting my exploring but I’ll, hopefully, get back in a shooting routine soon.
Hello David,
I too am drawn to the quiet serenity of cemeteries. You have captured the essence of these holy place that remind us of the shortness of life and the beauty of nature.
Thanks,
Jack
Thank you Jack, I’m glad you enjoyed my work. I find cemeteries endlessly fascinating and enjoy trying to capture the mood and history found in them.
