I started this blog hoping I would talk about photography and guitars, the two things I enjoy. Well, the photography part has become a little overwhelming, mostly because of my 365 shots. I would like to write about guitars more and hopefully I’ll be able to get back on that track. I’m just not that good of a writer, so it’s hard for me to come up with enough guitar topics to cover. In the mean time I hope, at least, a picture of a guitar will suffice.
I had some things to do today and when I got done it was already dark and rainy. Since I didn’t get any shots while I was out, I thought I would take a shot of one of my guitars. This is a 2003 Dean Hardtail USA electric. As you can see, it has a beautiful flamed maple top and unique abalone and silver neck inlays. I used the professional lighting setup of a floor lamp 😉 bouncing off of the ceiling. The color balance was kept a little on the warm side because guitars are so cool! Pentax K20D, DA17-70 and I actually used a tripod!
