As promised last night, here’s a few extra shots from yesterday. Like I mentioned, I had to go to Columbus, Ohio and along the way is Dawes Arboretum. I didn’t have too much time to spend there but I made a detour to check it out and see what was available to shoot. This early in the year, I didn’t expect much from the plant life but I remembered the cypress swamp is full of water in spring. I didn’t get to see any salamanders 😦 , but I got some cool reflection shots. There were a few flowers popping up also. I would like to visit the area in 3-4 weeks, which should provide some better photo-ops. All photos taken at the arboretum except the frog which I took while on the job site I was at. I saw the little guy poke his head out of a mud puddle.
I love the cypress and pneumatophore pics. They are all good, really, but those were my favorites of this bunch. As soon as I can get away from my garden preparations I hope to take more photos with my new camera/lens.
Thanks Nathan. I didn’t get to spend much time there and as a result didn’t get to spend much time taking the photos. A fault of mine is working too quickly anyhow. As far as nature photography, it’s still too early in the year at this latitude, but I’m trying. Looking forward to your shots.
