Some subdued color for today. Bases for birdbaths at a lawn ornament business. I like the “southwest” feel to the shot. The store, an old barn, was actually closed and I shot this through the fence. I’ll throw up a couple extra shots I took there also. All with Pentax K20D and DA55-300

I actually laughed when I saw that last image. I get the idea that this is some old abandoned farm and the only chickens around are painted and mounted to the outside walls! Very amusing.
I’ve been waiting for a good opportunity and today I was in a larger town and took a couple of images that I converted to B&W. They got posted on my blog today if you are interested in having a look (I gave you and another blogger a plug as well).
Thanks Nathan. I’m glad you got a chuckle (cluckle?) out of that. The barn is literally right beside a busy side road with lots of modern office buildings, which makes it more out of place. Though just down the road there were some chickens that hung out at a car wash a couple years ago. No one knew why or how they got there but they were eventually “adopted” by a farmer after a feature in the paper. I’ll check out your shots later. I saw the subscription email but I haven’t dug into anything yet. Thanks for the plug!
