The neighboring town of Canonsburg has an annual Fourth of July parade and the citizens have a tradition of placing chairs along the route to reserve a vantage point for the festivities. The chairs are placed as much as a week in advance. Now I see that some are roping off large areas also, much to the chagrin of local business owners, I imagine. I guess it’s a good clean fun thing and its put up with out of tradition. As for the parade, it’s nothing exciting. Your usual small town parade. When I was younger, I once drove a convertible in the parade with a couple of waving beauty queens sitting on the rear seat. Wooo…fun stuff. All with Pentax K20D and DA 17-70 or DA 55-300.
