I am not blue, but I like blue. Blue is cool. So are the blues. Of course, since I am a guitarist, I like blues guitar music. I like all types of blues guitar; Texas, Hill Country, Chicago, Delta, British, jazz, acoustic, electric, etc., etc.. I also like guitarist who were inspired by the blues but aren’t necessarily labeled as blues guitarists. A few recent releases I have been enjoying lately are:
- Dave Alvin – Eleven Eleven
- Warren Haynes – Man in Motion
- Kenny Wayne Shepherd – How I Go
Just some smokin’ guitar work from all three. Worth checking out if you get a chance. I spotted this beer bottle on a for sale sign at a roadside tavern. Obviously the blue wall is what first caught my eye. Pentax K20D, DA 55-300.
