I’m still kind of on my photography hiatus but I actually took some photos today. Waking up to a fresh blanket of snow this morning, I started the winter routine of shoveling the sidewalks. I live on a corner lot in the city so I have to shovel all of the way around the corner in addition to the walks and driveway leading up to the house. It was just a few inches of light fluffy stuff, so it wasn’t much of a chore and I got to use my brand new bright yellow snow shovel! As much as I wanted to drive around the countryside looking for photos, I’m still sticking around the house trying to take care of some backed up tasks, so the winter landscapes will have to wait for another day. But I did manage a few shots of a well worn straw broom that’s on my back porch, the subject of few photos from last year. Pentax K20D, DA17-70
Straw Broom and Snow
I think the top image is one of your finest. the textures just appeal to me.
Such striking contrasts in the top photo . I love it ..
Love the clarity of that top photo. it’s so abstract-looking–I didn’t know what it was. Yes, the color and textures are great, Dave.
