I wasn’t planning on posting anything today, mainly because I really haven’t been shooting anything of substance lately. But with a wild weekend planned of working on my house I thought I should put something up because it may be a while before I get to explore any photographic avenues.
These are some old pipes near a work site that I take photos of whenever I see them, for some reason. Maybe I’m thinking that the round rusty forms will look different each time. Maybe it’s the challenge of taking relatively simple objects and finding a new way of looking at them. I don’t really know but I guess I’ll keep trying. This time around I’m going with a black and white treatment, for a more abstract feel. Although I have been using Topaz B&W Effects for my conversions as of late, I used Nik Silver Efex on these because it just seemed to work better.
Great textures…
