Feeling nautical

Since I have a few days of from work, my wife and I took a quick drive “up” north to Lake Erie. We basically just went for the night to get out of town. Sitting on the dock and watching the sunset as sailboats went by was a little more relaxing than listening to trucks and three-color Cavaliers driving past my house. Of course I also attempted some photography while we were there. The area we were at is on the edge of the city and it didn’t offer too much as far as old worn details like I usually shoot, so I had my work cut out for me. I was trying not to take “snapshots” but it seemed to be what I was getting. So I’m still in a bit of a creative slump but, in time, I’ll work my way out of it, so please bear with me. 😉

I decided to process a few photos with a split tone using Topaz B&W Effects. I thought it just sort of worked for these images. I’ll post some color pics on the next round.

Thanks Chloe. I imagine you are at the point in winter where summer starts looking pretty good.
