Hi, welcome back!
I decided I am going to attempt to post every day in the month of July. Why? Well why not, I say. Seriously, I just feel the need to push myself a little and posting every day necessitates going the extra inch. What the posts will be, I don’t know yet. They may simply be photos with a short description, they may be about gear or techniques, or they may be my usual mindless rambling about nothing. Either way you should be able to enjoy at the least a decent photo every day during July. That’s exciting, isn’t it? But considering most folks take vacations during the month of July, I don’t expect much action anyhow.
Speaking of vacation, I just wrapped a up a week off from work and it was quite enjoyable. I didn’t get to do anything dramatic or go to any far flung places but nevertheless it was nice to break up the routine for a small spell. My wife and I made a short road trip to the Carolinas, where I took this photo at the Magnolia Plantation in Charleston. It wasn’t exactly the best time of day for photography, but I made the best of it. I did realize the shortcomings of my photo gear during the trip (I need to go wider, longer, faster) and I plan on rectifying that situation very soon.
