Buildings, new and old

I haven’t posted in quite a while so I thought I would show a couple of recently shot building photos. The first is a newly constructed office building in a suburban office park. The late afternoon clouds looked so good I couldn’t resist. The empty parking lot helped to balance out with the sky. Color was the word here.

The other shot is an old one room schoolhouse that I spotted a few days earlier. There seems to be a number of these buildings scattered around the back roads and I liked how the morning light accented the school amongst the trees. This was a natural for black and white

I apologize for not being too timely in my posts here at Whatipic. It seems I have been caught up in life and the photos worth talking about have been few and far between. I do, however, have some good news regarding my work coming up, so stay tuned for that. I am also working on an alternative site to better showcase my work. I know that is something I have been talking about for a while but I really haven’t found the time to focus and work out the details, plus I wasn’t sure exactly which direction I wanted to take the new site. The hardest part is in order to have galleries of my work I would have to categorize my photos. With the exception of either black and white or color, I always found that to be the hardest task.

The contrast between new and old buildings is definitely something that makes you think.
