I’m going to try to make up for the lame shot I did yesterday. I had an early appointment this morning and woke up to six inches of fresh snow. I figured a new fresh blanket of white should help me get creative again. It did, but I didn’t really take any “snow” shots, nor did I venture far from home.
First, an abstract for my 365 shot. After cleaning snow off of my truck, I was sitting in the cab and noticed the morning sunlight hitting the drops af water on my right-side mirror. Shot through the passenger window which created additional highlights. the title is the first thing I thought of but I couldn’t come up with anything better. Pentax K20D, DA55-300.
Drops of Jupiter
I also took some shots of the snow on a pine tree in my yard and thought I would post them also. Like I mentioned, I’m feeling bad about yesterday’s post so I’m over-compensating. All with Pentax K20D, first with DA17-70.
The next couple of shots are with my Super-Takumar 50mm lens, reverse mounted for macro. Shooting the branches was a little tricky because there was a slight breeze. With about a 1/4-inch of depth-of-field to work with, I had to wait for the branch to swing in focus and shoot. I took a few trial and error shots to catch the focus where I wanted it.
A couple more shots from today shot with the DA55-300. The first, a ball of snow on my truck roof.
The second is my parking space this morning. Hope you enjoyed the shots. Please feel free to comment or critique.
You should feel less guilty, everyone has an off day. The top one is definitely my favourite image.
Much Love

Thanks. I didn’t feel bad so much about an off day, just that I didn’t put any effort into it. I know I’ll have a lot of off days creatively but I do like to, at least, try.
