Number 65!! Only 300 more to go! 300?!! Yikes. Sticking around the house again today, which makes it tough to find photo subjects. I hope to get out and about more as the weather improves. I’m still layed off from my “normal” job, so I have plenty of time but no money. ;-( With gas prices rising, I have to limit my photo excursions to a small radius from home.
Picking up on yesterday’s raindrops shot, a similar effect. A bouquet of flowers as seen through a glass sphere (actually part of the stem of a cocktail glass). I like the bright color. Shot with myPentax K20D and reverse-mounted Super-Takumar 50mm.
Inversion
beautiful pictures !!
Thank you.
Interesting. I have only reversed my 50mm on one occasion with a praying mantis. As for the image, the contrast and offset subject are very appealing. The distortion is a bit disorienting at first glance, but then the flowers ground you back in reality, though I’m not quite sure where that is. 🙂 I like it.
Thanks. Disorientation, that’s what I strive for! 😉 I only use the reversed 50mm because a $7 reversing ring was way cheaper than a macro lens. Of course you only have one magnification and you give up automation, but it works.
