Spring is taking an incredibly long time to get here this year. There’s still no signs of buds or leaves on the trees, the temperatures are staying below normal, and everything still looks dull and wintry. I’d love to get out and about more but it just feels blah around here. Since I’m in a blah mood, I figured the best place to visit is my basement! Since I live in the northeast USA, I live in a big old house and my basement is a classic “basement”. No extra living quarters down there! It’s just a cold damp place to hold the hot water heater, washer, dryer, and HVAC equipment. Shooting by bare lightbulbs and natural light from the glass block windows, I looked around with my Super-Takumar 50mm. This is just in one room, I’ll save the other rooms as backup next time I need a 365 photo ;-).

who would have ever thought things in an old basement (mine is from 1948) could be photograph-worthy!
Not me. That’s the first time ,I think, that I ever took any pictures down there in the over 20 years I’ve lived here!
