365-100 Safari adventures

A few animal shots for today. I was driving along a rural road and spotted some ostriches in a field. I guess in some places that wouldn’t be unusual but in Pennsylvania, it’s not something you come across very often. They obviously belonged to someone and if I would have seen anyone around I would have asked if I could take some photos. I just shot from the road and had to work quick because people like to drive fast on these narrow twisty back roads and I didn’t want to be stopped on the road for too long.  So I grabbed a quick portrait of one that was near the road and a shot of a couple back in the trees.

The dogs were waiting in the car at a mini-mart. I added a bit of post-processed blur to the background to give the impression of movement. Made it looked like they were out cruising and enjoying the warm sunny day.

All with Pentax K20D and DA55-300.

Thanks Nathan. A little humor is always good.
