It was a beautiful warm sunny day today. That’s something we haven’t seen much of lately. Of course, that means mowing the lawn while you have a window of opportunity. I didn’t mind, it actually wasn’t that bad. And it felt like summer today, which was pretty nice. At the end of the day I got to relax on the porch with my wife and it was exactly that – relaxing. You have to enjoy those moments at times.
So when I saw the late afternoon sun streaming through the bamboo shade we have and casting streaked light past the Corona, I thought that it would be a cool picture. This shot was taken with my Super-Takumar 28mm lens. I took a similar shot with my DA17-70 but the Tak never gets used much and I figured I would show it some love. 😉 As I mentioned in an earlier post about beer – I don’t drink much but I do like to enjoy different beers on occasion. Corona is just a beer that I like to enjoy on evenings such as this. It’s my main summer beer as opposed to Guinness which is my main winter beer.

In an unrelated topic I thought I would throw a few shots up of a motorcycle I saw in a parking lot today. I like bikes and actually owned a Kawasaki at one time as my only form of transportation – when I was younger, of course. I’m not much of a H-D fan (especially hearing them), instead I favor the European models such as BMW, Ducati, Moto-Guzzi etc. But this bike looked kind of cool and I thought the yellow would make a good candidate for an extract color photo. I don’t usually do those single color images since I think they’re kind of Photoshoppy but, for fun, I think it works here. The motor looked pretty cool also! Both with Pentax K20D, DA17-70.
Corona is best in summer in my opinion. Great shot!
Thanks. It definitely goes down easy on a hot day.
Really enjoyed these images today. If I drink beer it’s usually a Belgian style ale like Fat Tire.
