I took a photo of my neighbors flowers on my way out today just to have a shot “in the can.” After I ran some errands I uploaded the pics to see if I had to go back out and do some shooting. When I saw this particular image I thought it would make a good texture shot. I browsed through my library of textures that I have from various other artists trying to find just the right one, but a photo I took earlier in the year became the main texture. It was a severely underexposed, blurry moving camera shot of some trees that had a nice blue color to it. The photo was destined for delete but I remember thinking that it could make a good texture overlay someday. Good thing I kept it! When I pumped up the levels on it the noise increased and so did the orange color. I played around with various layer styles and opacities until I liked the result. I did add a SkeletalMess border texture from my files to frame the image, somewhat. Pentax K20D, Super-Takumar 50mm.
