Some Autumn Love

Once that initial blast of autumn color is over, it seems people forget about the nature part of fall. The rest of the season means football and the upcoming holidays. So I just wanted to show some love for the second month of autumn. These were all taken in a patch of woods with late afternoon sun backlighting the leaves. The photos are all sort of “busy” as there is a lot of twigs and branches exposed from the lack of foliage but I wasn’t trying  for clean lines. I just wanted to show the woods as they are. All with Pentax K20D, DA55-300. Enjoy!

And finally, a leaf that fell on my truck.

Awesome! I love them all, but especially the last one. I’m also a fan of Pentax, but I only have a K-x.

Thanks. The K-x is a neat little camera. I’m not overly familiar with it but I know it has awesome image quality.

That lens has some nice bokeh. Especially No. 5, 8, & 11.

Thats one thing that always impressed me about that lens. For a somewhat budget zoom it renders the out of focus areas nicely. Lots of character.

What a great collection of photos. I like the lighting shining through the leaves on some of the photos. Such pretty colors this time of year but not without its beauty in winter . . . I especially like the conifer with that great bokeh color and the leaf on water.

Thanks. I like when I can do a nice collection. I actually shot these in about a ten minute period. I know they all seem a little random but I did try to make some type of compositions out of the busy scenes. BTW, the leaf is actually resting on my truck, although it looks like it’s reflecting in water!

Wow, lovely. The last image especially. The colors on these are amazing.
