Bridges – Utah Phillips and Ani DiFranco – “The Past Didn’t Go Anywhere”
In honor of a really cool song by two talented artists. I spotted this bridge while traveling around today and thought it just had something about it. I’ve been past this bridge probably hundreds of times yet it just caught my eye today. I don’t know why and I’m not sure if the photo does any justice to the scene. Maybe the newly fallen snow added the right extra dimension. At first I went with normal processing on the photo, and it looked good, but I decided to go with a cooler tone vintage tint to enhance the feel of a cold winter day. I hope you enjoy the song. The YouTube video is all I could find to link you to it, but the audio is good and the video is kind of interesting also. Pentax K20D, DA17-70.
RIP Bridge
Nice!
like the textures
It’s a neat bridge, but it almost seems to get lost in the background.
Yeah, I know, but that’s kind of what drew me to scene in the first place – the almost overabundance of textures. A busy image, for sure, but it certainly has a gritty feel that fit the mood of being there.
