A spring tree

I was sitting at a stop light and noticed this large pink tree in someones yard. I had my camera in the truck and snapped a photo before moving on. I really like the spring blossoms and all of the colors of the spring season. I think it would be cool if some trees were as colorful all of the time, but then I guess it wouldn’t be as special then. Photography-wise I never seem to tire of trying to capture that perfect spring blossom photo. I don’t think I’ve achieved that yet, or know if I ever will, but it is fun trying every year.

I processed this photo a little on the cool side and punched up the magenta a bit to enhance the blossoms. An added vignette keeps the focus on the big blob of color. Again, it’s just a grab shot – no real photography effort here – but I still like the results.

Beautiful – I love the results, David! It brings back memories of childhood and running under the trees next to my grandparent’s white farmhouse.

Thanks Karen. It’s amazing when you were young how many activities evolved around a tree.

Thanks Chloe. Uhm, It could very well be, but I’m not always sure, especially from a distance.
