I was talking about taking the tulip photos in the last post and I forgot that I also shot some magnolia blossoms. I think they are my favorite spring blossom, mainly because they are so huge and I like the way that the petals fall in different directions. From a photographic standpoint you can get a nice variety of blossoms on a single tree. The tricky part is that the trees have a lot of tangly limbs which can get distracting. This particular tree didn’t offer any eye level blossoms and it was right next to a building, so I had to manuever around in order to isolate a blossom, without getting washed out sky behind it. I hope you like it.
