When I originally spotted this camper, I was drawn to its aqua blue trim along the top, in addition to its condition and placement within the scene. And it does, in fact, make a nice color photo as the wooded area is a nice bright green. But after processing, I began to think that it would do well as a black and white image also, taking the shot into more of a documentary style. Once I did the conversion I thought it looked great, but when I added a bit of diffused glow, I knew I had the image that I “pictured”. It just added that hint of mystique to the camper. At least that’s what I think.
This shot would have benefited from a slightly wider angle of view but I was in tight corners and was limited to the wide end of the kit lens. A super wide-angle lens would have been perfect here and I hope to add one to my gear in the near future, because there has been more than one occasion lately where one would have come in handy.
