Bricks, lots of bricks

I find most red brick buildings uninteresting as far as photography is concerned. The color and small consistent patterns usually makes for a dull photo. If I can find something of interest where a brick building is concerned I usually convert to black and white which takes away the distracting color and makes you concentrate on the lines instead.

But today I am sticking with color because it just works. Other elements in the photos add their own special color and I didn’t want to remove that, bricks be darn. Did I end up with visually exciting photos? Hardly. But in the words of Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, “it is what it is”.

I love these! I too am in awe of brick buildings and I love that you chose to leave these in color. The color definitely works here and isn’t too distracting. Thank you for another wonderful post 🙂
