The party’s over, turn out the lights

A little break from my experiments. While I was in the park the other day trying to fulfill my artistic vision 😉 I took a few shots of this lonely swing set. I don’t know why, it was something to shoot but really didn’t offer much as far as details or textures. Regardless, I took a few shots, trying to play around with a few lines and compositions, and then went about my way. It wasn’t until afterwards when I viewed the images on the screen that I realized the swings will probably remain still for a while since kids are back in school, we are in the midst of fall and winter will be here before you know it.

These were all taken with the Lumix GX1 and Leica Summilux 25mm. I used Nik Silver Efex for the black and white conversion and split tone.
