Since ol’ man winter is still hanging around this year and more snow is coming tonight I thought I would look into my files to see what last year looked like at this time. I found that I had a lot of photos of spring blossoms and flowers that are nowhere to be seen this year. In a related note, while I was looking at the weather on my phone I saw that we were in the 80ºs last year on the same date.
Anyhow, I came across this photo that I did and quickly forgot about. I shot it from my car while waiting in traffic and it caught my eye, not only for the nice cloud background, but the fact that there weren’t any cars parked there, which is rare. Plus it was a colorful scene with a dynamic and somewhat Americana feel to it. I did a little “over” processing on it at the time, just for fun’s sake, since I had no intentions to do anything with but now, looking back, I think it’s kind of cool and I’ve grown to like it.
