The pause that refreshes

It took a really slow steady pause to take this photo. With high magnification, a branch swaying in the breeze and a likewise swaying photographer trying to keep something in focus at the right moment that the shutter clicks, it was an exercise in patience. Sure I could have clipped a branch, taken it into a studio, put the camera on a tripod, and got a perfect shot with no fuss, but seriously what fun would that be?

Thanks. It’s a crazy cycle. I felt the same way last fall viewing the spring images of my fellow bloggers in the southern hemisphere. I like to think we can enjoy any season all year long!
