Rustling up some photos

From the city shot of my last post to more rural things. I see lots of cattle almost every day during my work travels. An almost constant subject on my blog and I’m afraid I have to go there again! 🙂

Trying to get unique and interesting photos of cattle that aren’t mine, during the heat of the day is always a challenge. That’s why I just shoot when I see something that looks like the right shot at the right time. Like this bull making some noise during the morning hours.

Or maybe this simple graphic statement. I went with an infra-red treatment here.

Or just some grazers hanging out

These were all taken the same morning. The directional light was bright but seemed to work. I went back and forth on the processing on some of these, especially the first photo. The bull was black and it comes across a little grayish here but I lost any detail if I went darker so I had to say enough and go with this version. Most cattle in my area re about as black as black can be, which makes it even more difficult to shoot and process. So I usually have to compromise somewhere.
