But Mama, that’s where the fun is

Mama always told me not to look into the eye’s of the sun
But mama, that’s where the fun is – B. Springsteen

(I always liked the Manfred Mann version)

In my never-ending quest to take Spring Blossom photos in new ways (at least for me), today I discovered the sun. Spring has been so long in coming and coupled with the ever elusive sunshine, I couldn’t help but to take advantage of both. After the usual head on shots I began to play around with some different vantage points and discovered the backlight. Who knew?

Flowers are always good candidates for adding a little texture to lighten the mood, so I thought I would take that route along with a little de-saturation. I did play around with some black and white conversions (which I kind of like better) and I’m posting them on my Flickr page. Hope you dig ’em!
