When I originally spotted this camper, I was drawn to its aqua blue trim along the top, in addition to its condition and placement within the scene. And it does, in fact, make a nice color photo as the wooded area is a nice bright green. But after processing, I began to think that it would do well as a black and white…

Through the looking glass
In this case, the looking glass being the window of an antiques store. I was walking around Wheeling the other day looking for things to shoot, mostly to test a new camera. I like to try out a camera in a variety of real world shooting situations and take photos of things I normally shoot to get a real evaluation…
Crickets chirping….
…..is what I hear around here lately. It’s been a bit lonely with the lack of visitors but I have no one to blame but myself. My photography output is way down since last years 365 project. Plus I find that, without the pressure of having to do a daily photo, I don’t push myself to get out there and shoot. I…
365-178 Happy happy joy joy
That’s the way I have to feel after getting my second job rejection within the week. Both interviews, I thought, went well and I would have been a good fit in either position even though they were both different types of jobs. Trying to find a job in another line of work is proving to be difficult. Edited to remove…
365-45 On the street
I didn’t purposely avoid doing a Valentines theme for today but I thought there would be plenty of others covering that. So instead, a street picture for today. Not a cool city street shot taken with a Leica but a picture of a car on the street in a small town taken with a Lumix LX-3. Well, at least it has a Leica lens! I…
365-18
Out shopping today instead of shooting. I saw this balloon on the ceiling at a mall, two stories above the children’s play area. Had to do a little work in PSE6 with curves, contrast, etc. to get it looking halfway nice. Still a little noisy but not too bad. Shot with the Lumix LX-3. Toy Go Bye-bye
365-10
While in a bookstore today, I saw these small ceramic owls in the gift/decor area of the store. I liked how they were grouped and thought they would make a cute picture. Well, they were cute until I processed the photo in black and white. All of a sudden they took on a sinister appearance. Processed in PSE6 with Nik Silver Efex. Camera…
My 365 project
Welcome to my new blog. I hope you enjoy visiting often. I’ll start off with showing a few pictures from a 365 photo project I’m attempting for 2011 that I started on January 1st. I hope I can keep it up. I’m going to try to be creative somewhat and not simply show facets of my daily life. I’ll also try…
