365-60 Altered reality on a small scale

“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing.” – Camille Pissarro

My shot for today is not an abstract macro flower shot, though that’s what it appears to be. It’s a glass of iced green tea with a lime. I shot with my reverse-mounted Super-Takumar 50mm. Light from the window backlit the tea and probably contributed to the lovely hues. I’m enjoying finding shots in the most normal of objects and places. Although I like to find abstracts in architecture and nature, macro shots have a way of magnifying the small details that we pass by everyday. Pentax K20D, Super-Takumar 50mm.
