A little diversion from the usual shots. I don’t like to grass but it’s one of those things that has to be done starting around this time of year until October or November. Today is my first cut. I was trying to hold out but it just got too long, in spots at least. Beyond cutting my grass, I like to keep all lawn work to a minimum. I’m not obsessive about my lawn like some are. If I was able to, I would gladly live in a townhouse in the city so I wouldn’t have to spend any leisure time cutting grass. My wife agrees with this but, unfortunately, I don’t think I would be able to sell my house anytime soon since more people are going then coming to this town. So I’m stuck for the moment. And for the next couple days at least, the dandelions are gone. This is the out-of-camera jpg resized for the web. I usually work with RAW files but I really couldn’t improve on the original, so why bother! Pentax K20D, Super-Takumar 50mm at around F2.0.

Yesterday wrapped up my second time mowing this year. With all of the rain today I’ll probably be mowing again next week. I hate to mow, because it is a waste of my leisure time, however it is some of the only strenuous exercise I get all year so I don’t complain. 8)
Yeah, I don’t mind the activity and at least this time of year I’m not dripping in sweat.
