Took a drive to Oglebay Park near Wheeling, West Virginia today. It’s a beautiful, well maintained park so I thought they may have some photo ops there. There were tulips galore around the buildings and I got to take my time shooting them because there weren’t very many people around. It’s still early in the year so the park isn’t up and running for the season yet but it’s still WAY nicer than my local city park. I wanted to try some macro/close-up abstracts but the wind was just too strong today. I’m kind of disappointed that I didn’t get to try anything really creative but I’m kind of limited with the gear I have. Some slow exposures to capture the wind movement might have been cool. But that would have entailed using a tripod and probably some neutral density filters, neither of which I have . I think I’m the only photographer who doesn’t own a decent tripod (well, one of any substance that you can use outdoors). Anyhow here are few tulip shots. I’ll post some more photos tomorrow. Other than that, I think I’m done with flowers for a while.
Tulip Glow
Beautiful work, wonderful colours. The second shot is my favourite, love the composition

Thanks Astra!!
Our tulips are finally up. I would take some pictures if the rain and clouds would go away. My kit is fully WR, but I don’t feel like getting wet at the moment LOL.
I can certainly understand that! It’s been raining almost every day around here.
