I originally thought I was going to do an autumn photo today. I shot some leaves at lunch time and was planning to do a texture treatment during post processing. I had it all figured out and was content. But while I was at work we had a late afternoon rain shower. It came down fairly heavy. After the rain I was in my truck waiting for things to shut down and I spotted a few raindrops hanging from my window visor. I thought I would do a couple quick macros of the drops with my reverse mounted Super-Takumar 50mm. After I got home and viewed the photos I was drawn to the abstract nature of the drop photo and decided to go with that instead of the textured leaves. I haven’t really done any simple abstracts in a while so it’s a nice change. Pentax K20D.

Very simple. Cool geometry and color 🙂
Thank you Charlie. Trying to “keep it simple” is tough at times but worth it.
Can I see clouds in the drop? Very neat shot!
Thanks Paul. Yeah, the storm clouds were still hanging around. Tough to decide what to focus on at that magnification!
