I took a few sunrise photos this morning. I thought they looked good on the camera but after I viewed them on my monitor they just didn’t work for me. That happens. But I was intrigued by these dew covered twigs I captured. Just a grab shot really. They were backlit by the early sunrise. I’m glad I shot them as I didn’t get a chance to photograph anything else later today. It isn’t much of a subject. Nothing really. I did a little texture treatment in post. Hope you like…uhm, nothing. Pentax K20D, DA55-300.

I love this! ‘Nothing’ is very pretty!
Thanks!
love the orange and black. very interesting. nothing indeed… ha!
Thanks Nathan. I guess I was thinking nothing when I shot it.
This is gorgeous! This isn’t nothing… look at the different ranges of oranges and yellows, and the lace – almost delicate looking twigs, with the bit of detail like cobwebs. Its a beautiful photo and very worthy of capturing a Fall season feel. Good job. I’d love a print!
Thank you. It’s one of those shots where you don’t realize the potential until afterwards.
Very cool! You composed this busy scene well. I love how the picture resembles the look of a painting.
very sterile. i like it alot. it almost looks like you took the pic from inside a fire 🙂
Stunning colour, very beautiful
Thanks AW!
When I manage to photograph “nothing” it typically is an accidental thumb in the frame or inside of a lens cap.
This is very ethereal, and I love the slight hint of what is apparently spider webbing scattered throughout the photo.
Thank you. You cant beat that sunrise warmth! I was in a spot where the lighting was great but I just didn’t have any “subjects”, but i didn’t want to pass on the moment. I tried various focus points including the spider webs but focusing on the foreground twigs worked best.
