I am back home again. Hopefully I can get caught up on some things while I’m here. My day consisted of watching it rain and then driving home on the highway. Although I sort of kept an eye out for a photo, I didn’t find anything of interest. Well, I did see some nice autumn views when driving through the mountains but by the time I could have slowed my truck down and pull over the view would be gone. Plus the heavy truck traffic was, um, heavy and created a lot of “moving traffic jams” when they would go too slow up the hills (taking up both lanes) and go extraordinarily fast on the way down. So I had to pay attention. I did manage to make a quick detour to a state park on the way home but all found was an empty parking lot full of geese. Hmm, good time for a goose portrait! B&W conversion with Nik Silver Efex. At first I did a dark vignette but changed to a light vignette to simplify the composition and enhance the bird. Pentax K20D, DA55-300.
The Gander
I like this photo, David! No distractions, just a goose! The filter enhances the look nicely.
