I know I said I was done with any autumn nature photos but these were the only photos I shot today that I kind of liked. My 365 photo is a detail of some plants near a bank I use. They were practically colorless and wilted, ready for winter. Just perfect, in my opinion. The other photo is from the local cemetery. I was there just for autumn scenes and was trying to avoid any “cemetery” photos. Processing for both was rather straightforward with the usual levels, curves and sharpening. That’s it! Pentax K20D, DA55-300, DA17-70.

Wow! Excellent fall photos! Love the extraordinary detail on the leaf, as well as the shadow of the tree. Great shots!
I love the second image where the color is in the background and the shadows in the fore. Usually it is the other way around. Not to mention the intricate branches which are not actually in the image, only a shadowy representation. Brilliant.
I need to work up the courage to visit a cemetery now… Maybe I’ll take my photography club kids to the local one.
