365-358 Holiday displays

While finishing up some last minute shopping today I swung by my employer’s office to drop some things off, since I was in the area. The office is located in a small urban area that offers some unique photo subjects. Since my wife and I had things to do I couldn’t explore too much but I saw a window display in a small music shop that looked interesting. The store was closed so I was able to take a closer look. I liked the sock monkeys with the instruments and thought it was a fun subject. It was hard to eliminate the reflections in the window due to the lighting but I did my best in processing to reduce them. After I shot the monkeys, I looked at some of the other Christmas displays in the window and thought, “gee, that cat looks realistic”  – which I soon realized it was after it gave a big fat yawn! Pentax K20D, DA17-70.

Merry Christmas everybody!!

I adore sock monkeys, and the kitteh looks just like our late, great Missy Maow. Happy Christmas!
