I’m back, but not with any of my normal artsy photos because I’m continuing my house rehab. I finally started the nitty-gritty part of my room remodeling. The ugly part that’s no fun to do. Fixing cracks in the plaster, patching holes, changing electric, preparing for paint, etc.. I didn’t get any work done today because I had to take my car to the dealers but afterwards I did stop to purchase some very much needed tools to replace a few of my aging ones, including my 20-year old cordless drill which decided it has seen enough and quit working on me. While I was out I did get to do some fun things like looking at paint colors and furnishings. Doing that makes getting past the rough stages seem worthwhile.
On the photography front, I really want to get out and start taking some serious photos but the weather has been really lousy. Plus by the time I do the other things I’m doing it’s already dark. So hopefully in the next few weeks, while I’m working on my house, I can squeeze some photo time in a day here or there. In the mean time, I took some before pictures of my room and couldn’t resist getting a few detail shots of some tools while I was in there. Not exciting photos by any means but I do need to keep my blog current. All with Pentax K20D, DA17-70.

really like your renovation shots, we’re doing renovations at our house too.. exciting times
I especially like the top two shots. Great composition in all, but the roll of dry-wall weave & scissors and the putty knives on the newspaper just grab my attention more.
