Avenues

I don’t have much to say for today’s post, so I’ll try to keep it short. It was a beautiful weekend, if a little on the cool side, but I didn’t do too much shooting. Instead the focus was on domestic things and actually going out and watching a live band for a change. It was nice. Plus I have been working on making some larger prints, which gives some of my images a whole new life.

I did manage to take a couple of photos near the conservatory on Saturday and one thing I want to explore more are details in nature. leaning towards the abstract. I have been attracted to black and white more and more lately and it works good for those subjects. I think I want to go down those avenues for a while.

This shot of leaves is nothing too special but I do like how it resembles those slot canyon photos. The layers and textures of the leaves invite you in to walk around. A little more practice and finding the right subject matter should prove to be fun. It’s just too bad summer is starting to fade away. I was just getting used to it.
