365-296 Time for time

Continuing my time of just relaxing at home. I’m heading back out of town for work tomorrow so I didn’t want to drive around any today.  I saw the sunlight from a window lighting a clock in my dining room and tried a few shots with my Super-Takumar 50mm lens. Upon viewing the results I thought of a SkeletalMess Post Card texture that I saw on Flickr and thought that it was a good time as any to try it out. With a little extra text thrown in on the right it was a pretty easy image. Even though I like to experiment with textures I usually don’t do actual text overlays but there’s always a first time, I guess. The final image doesn’t really make much sense but maybe that’s a good thing.  I was going to go the full route with a sepia tone and rough edges but my wife liked the warm color and said I’ve been doing too much B&W lately. I agreed. Pentax K20D, Super-Takumar 50mm.

Thanks. I’m always happy when I pull off a home still life.
